UP, UP

AND AWAY!

A stony path to happiness – not something you see every day.

But up in the mountains, it's quite normal. First, you have to drive your car through Prad, Gomagoi (Stilfs) to Sulden. Or if you're arriving by public transport, you can take the train to either Landeck (about 90 km away) or Merano (about 60 km away). From there, you will need to take the bus to Spondinig, Gomagoi (Stilfs) and Sulden.

And on we go...

Now on foot!

You can reach the hintergrathütte via two different routes. Please don't hesitate to call us if you need help. Please make sure to fully charge your phone beforehand! Oh, and one more thing: please don't leave any litter behind you! You can dispose...

Fitness level: good condition, experience, and absolute surefootedness

The starting point is the car park near the cable car in Sulden. Immediately take trail no. 2 along the Suldenbach stream until you reach Legerwand. From there, a slightly exposed path with built-in steps leads over rocks past the suspension bridge to the waterfall. Continue along Legerwand until you reach the intersection with trail no. 2a, which leads from the halfway station of the cable car. From here, it becomes somewhat easier as you are back on the main path. But pay attention! This trail is not recommended if it has rained in the past few days, as sections can be slippery! But it does offer a great view of the Sulden mountains and the glacier!
